The place or object known as Beting Beras Basah itself lies further ahead.

It is a piece of sandbank some 400 metres long situated 200-300 metres ahead in the waters where the Perak river flow merged with that of the Straits of Melaka.

You can't seen in this picture as the bank is submerged under high tide. Still you can see the location marked by flags and poles.

Beting Beras Basah is known as a place of mystical powers important in legitimising the position of a Perak Sultan or ruler. To understand better and view the bank in low tide have a look at old articles written 4 years ago :-
