This blogspot is a medium to share my thoughts and adventures apart from promoting my books. Below are the books which have been written or authored and published by myself.

"Berpetualang ke Aceh: Mencari Diri dan Erti".

ISBN 983-42031-0-1, Jun 2006

"Berpetualang ke Aceh: Membela Syiar yang Asal"

ISBN 983-42031-1-x, May 2007

"Berpetualang ke Aceh: Sirih Pulang ke Gagang?"

ISBN 978-983-42031-2-2, November 2007

It is interesting to note that while these books were written in Malay it has gained enough attention to merit being part of the collections of the American Library of Congress and National Library of Australia. Look here and here.

While the first three books were published by my own company, the fourth titled "Rumah Azan" was published in April 2009 by a company called Karnadya with the help of the Malaysian national literary body Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka. It features beautiful pictures along with stories behind selected mosques which could be related to the history of Islam and the Malays alongside the formation of the Malaysian nation. Look at the article A collaboration of old collegemates - the book "Rumah Azan".

My fifth book "Ahlul Bait (Family) of Rasulullah SAW and Malay Sultanates", an English translation and adaptation of the Malay book "Ahlul Bait (Keluarga) Rasulullah SAW dan Kesultanan Melayu" authored by Hj Muzaffar Mohamad and Tun Suzana Othman was published early 2010. Look here... My 5th book is out! Ahlul Bait (Family) of Rasulullah SAW and the Malay Sultanates... . For more information check out my Malay blogspot CATATAN SI MERAH SILU.

Like my fourth book "Rumah Azan", the sixth book "Kereta Api Menuju Destinasi" is also a coffee-table book which is published by the company Karnadya with the cooperation of Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka (the main Malay literary body in Malaysia). Coming out January 2011 it features pictures and stories on the adventure travelling by train to all of Peninsular Malaysia along with the interesting places which could be reached this way.

My seventh book "Jejak keluarga Yakin : Satu sketsa sejarah" in turn is a coffee-table book which is written, editted, designed and has pictures taken by me. Coming out of the factory October 2011, this book which combines family history with history of places such as Singapura, Johor, Batu Pahat, Muar and in fact the history of the island of Java and England has been reviewed with me interviewed live in the program Selamat Pagi Malaysia at RTM1. Look at the article Siaran langsung ulasan buku "Jejak keluarga Yakin : Satu sketsa sejarah" dan temu ramah di Selamat Pagi Malaysia. Some selected contents have been featured in Sneak peek "Jejak keluarga Yakin : Satu sketsa sejarah".

Back via electric tower route near Bukit Beruntung

Continuing from Checking again the rest of the plantation road on to the lake at Prima Beruntung.

From Prima Beruntung I climbed up a hill to get to these telecommunication towers.

Looking behind at Prima Beruntung.

There is a low cost flat area across the gated higher end housing.

I cut across to the telecommunication tower because a study of the satellite view of Google Map shows it connects to the path leading to the electric cable power I came across on 2nd January.

Saw a junction to the left and took it.

Came across this tower. But could see it is smaller that the one I came across 11 days earlier.

That one was still in the distance over the horizon.

Soon I reached it at dusk.

Having arrived on 2nd January I was rather confident would not have problem retracing steps to get back to the bike although it was getting dark. Little that I realised I lost sense of the path at a juncture. I was lost for over an hour before arriving at the bike sometime after 9 pm.

Continuing from Upcoming road to Bukit Beruntung?

The cleared parts actually continues from a right junction I did not take in my 2nd January walk. I rode back to that junction and parked the bike.

Continuing on foot through the left junction I then arrived at another junction.

On the 2nd January I took the right. This time took left.

After some time it rejoined the path from the right junction.

Then came another junction. Last time turned left and got to the electric tower.

This time took right...

Soon could be seen a part of the lake at Prima Beruntung.

Then the path turns into a small paved road.

A better look at the lake.

Just before the gated community of what should be the most prestigious part of Prima Beruntung housing estate I climbed right up the slope of a hill.

Walking further to the south.

Just to check out another lake which could be seen in Google Map satellite view.

Upcoming road to Bukit Beruntung?

Continuing from The lake at Prima Beruntung.

This afternoon Monday 13th January I decided to check again to plantation route shown in Checking out a plantation route from Sungai Buaya to Prima Beruntung. What a surprise I had. The route has been cleared to make way for what seemed to be a future road.

Ah. This is how it is going to be connected with an ongoing project for an industrialised zone covering parts of Sungai Buaya closer to my house.

Anyway since the opening is much more navigable by motorcycle compared to the earlier route I decided to ride.

This is the furthest navigable at this juncture of time.

So what I have heard before is true it seems. They are building a road connecting to Bukit Beruntung.

The lake at Prima Beruntung

Continuing from Checking out a plantation route from Sungai Buaya to Prima Beruntung.

Referring to the previous article. Actually I didn't plan to get to the electric cable tower. I was aiming for a lake at Prima Beruntung seen via satellite via in Google Map. The following day, Friday afternoon 3rd January 2025 I went with the wife by car to Prima Beruntung. Then we walked down the plantation path which Google Map shows could connect to Sungai Buaya.

From Prima Beruntung the lake is much much nearer. .

I did not get here the previous day because I took a different junction. That's why I got to the tower instead.

A better view of the lake. I was satisfied enough, at least for a while.

Checking out a plantation route from Sungai Buaya to Prima Beruntung

Peace be upon you. Starting sharing things from the new year of 2025.

Quite recent last year I found out there is plantation route from Sungai Buaya of which my house is at a part to Prima Beruntung, part of the housing area of Bukit Beruntung. Thursday afternoon 2nd January 2025 I decided to check it out.

Leaving my bike at the route's entrance I continued by foot.

I veered off the path a bit to get to what seemed to be highest summit near the route.

Then rejoined the route.

After some time came across the electric cable tower...

Views from under the tower...
