Kelantan river at the Kampung Laut jetty

Going to the 3rd day of the trip to the East Coast made end of 2010. Continuing from The Kelantan river near the royal jetty at Kota Bahru.

After spending the night at a place called Kutan we started a new day of visits to interesting places, among it is this jetty at Kampung Laut.


It lies a few miles north of the city of Kota Bahru, on the west bank of the river called Sungai Kelantan.

Thus these parts are closer to the estuary. A look upriver and you could see parts of Kota Bahru.


Zooming in. Look closely for it is from the jetty down the tall buildings that pictures from the previous article were taken.


Across lies an island blocking the view to the east bank.


A look downriver and you could see more islands which form the Kelantan river delta.
