This blogspot is a medium to share my thoughts and adventures apart from promoting my books. Below are the books which have been written or authored and published by myself.

"Berpetualang ke Aceh: Mencari Diri dan Erti".

ISBN 983-42031-0-1, Jun 2006

"Berpetualang ke Aceh: Membela Syiar yang Asal"

ISBN 983-42031-1-x, May 2007

"Berpetualang ke Aceh: Sirih Pulang ke Gagang?"

ISBN 978-983-42031-2-2, November 2007

It is interesting to note that while these books were written in Malay it has gained enough attention to merit being part of the collections of the American Library of Congress and National Library of Australia. Look here and here.

While the first three books were published by my own company, the fourth titled "Rumah Azan" was published in April 2009 by a company called Karnadya with the help of the Malaysian national literary body Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka. It features beautiful pictures along with stories behind selected mosques which could be related to the history of Islam and the Malays alongside the formation of the Malaysian nation. Look at the article A collaboration of old collegemates - the book "Rumah Azan".

My fifth book "Ahlul Bait (Family) of Rasulullah SAW and Malay Sultanates", an English translation and adaptation of the Malay book "Ahlul Bait (Keluarga) Rasulullah SAW dan Kesultanan Melayu" authored by Hj Muzaffar Mohamad and Tun Suzana Othman was published early 2010. Look here... My 5th book is out! Ahlul Bait (Family) of Rasulullah SAW and the Malay Sultanates... . For more information check out my Malay blogspot CATATAN SI MERAH SILU.

Like my fourth book "Rumah Azan", the sixth book "Kereta Api Menuju Destinasi" is also a coffee-table book which is published by the company Karnadya with the cooperation of Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka (the main Malay literary body in Malaysia). Coming out January 2011 it features pictures and stories on the adventure travelling by train to all of Peninsular Malaysia along with the interesting places which could be reached this way.

My seventh book "Jejak keluarga Yakin : Satu sketsa sejarah" in turn is a coffee-table book which is written, editted, designed and has pictures taken by me. Coming out of the factory October 2011, this book which combines family history with history of places such as Singapura, Johor, Batu Pahat, Muar and in fact the history of the island of Java and England has been reviewed with me interviewed live in the program Selamat Pagi Malaysia at RTM1. Look at the article Siaran langsung ulasan buku "Jejak keluarga Yakin : Satu sketsa sejarah" dan temu ramah di Selamat Pagi Malaysia. Some selected contents have been featured in Sneak peek "Jejak keluarga Yakin : Satu sketsa sejarah".

The beach called Pantai Cahaya Negeri

Continuing from On to Pulau Burung.

A part of the island is very close to what to seems to be a narrow cape.

As such there is a staircase leading to the cape.

I walked to the cape and on to these jutting tree roots.

Soon enough I arrived at the small beach facing the island.

It is called Pantai Cahaya Negeri.

Looking back towards the cape and island...

The bridge to the island.

If not because my son insisted on going to another more well known beach in Port Dickson I would have taken a dip here...

On to Pulau Burung

Continuing from The beach of Bagan Pinang.

In the March trip as mentioned in the old article Walking to the island of Bagan Pinang I caught sight of another island in Port Dickson, this time with a bridge leading to it.

But at that time I was rushing to the beach of Teluk Kemang because my son and a slightly older grand-nephew was impatient to take a dip.

After that we wanted to make an adventure walk at Tanjung Tuan.

So there was not enought time to check out this island with a bridge.

This time I make the effort to pay a visit and explore every accessible corner...

Google Map says the island is called Pulau Burung...

The beach of Bagan Pinang

Peace be upon you. Just sharing some things from an ongoing trip to Muar.

Saturday 26th August 2023. After following a function at the Sri Sendayan mosque near Seremban with my youngest son we went to Bagan Pinang in Port Dickson to fetch my wife after finishing a team-building course at a chalet. Across the road is the beach of Bagan Pinang. After lunch we walked to the beach.

Previously I have only passed the beach to elsewhere.

The closest I've been here was to walk to a nearby island during low tide in March. Look at Walking to the island of Bagan Pinang.

That is the island mentioned. As far as I could remember this is the first time I went to this beach...

Exploring new project areas in Sungai Buaya

Exactly 2 weeks later, late afternoon Friday 18th August 2023. I brought my youngest son to another rough path in Kampung Sungai Buaya to reach these parts.

It is some hills that is being cleared for a big project

What I understand it is going to be an integrated centre for furniture factories of the state of Selangor along with that of the federal territory of Kuala Lumpur.

The we went to another area, still in Sungai Buaya but at the southern and opposite side of the area's main river.

These parts have been earlier cleared, some small hills leveled to make way for an industrial project.

Exploring the rough path from Sungai Buaya towards Batang Berjuntai and back

Peace be upon you. Just sharing something from early this month.

Friday afternoon 4th Ogos 2023. After conducting the congregational Jumaat (Friday) prayers at the mosque of Kampung Sungai Buaya I decided to check out an certain inland route.

After a stretch of tarred road I turned onto this rough path.

It then diverges into two rough paths. I took the northern one leading to this part...

I had to go through some trial and error of diverging paths before arriving at this tarred road.

Then I decided to take on another slightly rough path.

Here lies a bridge crossing what should be the Batang Berjuntai river.

Next I looked for where the river flows into the bigger Selangor river...

Then I went to the main road which could lead to Batang Berjuntai town.

But instead out going to the town I took the opposite direction before entering a road leading to this bridge.

It is another bridge which crosses what should be the Batang Berjuntai river...

From there I took back the rough path to return to Sungai Buaya...
