This blogspot is a medium to share my thoughts and adventures apart from promoting my books. Below are the books which have been written or authored and published by myself.

"Berpetualang ke Aceh: Mencari Diri dan Erti".

ISBN 983-42031-0-1, Jun 2006

"Berpetualang ke Aceh: Membela Syiar yang Asal"

ISBN 983-42031-1-x, May 2007

"Berpetualang ke Aceh: Sirih Pulang ke Gagang?"

ISBN 978-983-42031-2-2, November 2007

It is interesting to note that while these books were written in Malay it has gained enough attention to merit being part of the collections of the American Library of Congress and National Library of Australia. Look here and here.

While the first three books were published by my own company, the fourth titled "Rumah Azan" was published in April 2009 by a company called Karnadya with the help of the Malaysian national literary body Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka. It features beautiful pictures along with stories behind selected mosques which could be related to the history of Islam and the Malays alongside the formation of the Malaysian nation. Look at the article A collaboration of old collegemates - the book "Rumah Azan".

My fifth book "Ahlul Bait (Family) of Rasulullah SAW and Malay Sultanates", an English translation and adaptation of the Malay book "Ahlul Bait (Keluarga) Rasulullah SAW dan Kesultanan Melayu" authored by Hj Muzaffar Mohamad and Tun Suzana Othman was published early 2010. Look here... My 5th book is out! Ahlul Bait (Family) of Rasulullah SAW and the Malay Sultanates... . For more information check out my Malay blogspot CATATAN SI MERAH SILU.

Like my fourth book "Rumah Azan", the sixth book "Kereta Api Menuju Destinasi" is also a coffee-table book which is published by the company Karnadya with the cooperation of Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka (the main Malay literary body in Malaysia). Coming out January 2011 it features pictures and stories on the adventure travelling by train to all of Peninsular Malaysia along with the interesting places which could be reached this way.

My seventh book "Jejak keluarga Yakin : Satu sketsa sejarah" in turn is a coffee-table book which is written, editted, designed and has pictures taken by me. Coming out of the factory October 2011, this book which combines family history with history of places such as Singapura, Johor, Batu Pahat, Muar and in fact the history of the island of Java and England has been reviewed with me interviewed live in the program Selamat Pagi Malaysia at RTM1. Look at the article Siaran langsung ulasan buku "Jejak keluarga Yakin : Satu sketsa sejarah" dan temu ramah di Selamat Pagi Malaysia. Some selected contents have been featured in Sneak peek "Jejak keluarga Yakin : Satu sketsa sejarah".

Views from the tower of Sultan Suleiman mosque in Klang

Continuing from Climbing to the summit of the highest hill near Kampung Sungai Buaya.

Friday morning 29th August 2025 stopped by at  Masjid Diraja (Royal Mosque of) Sultan Suleiman in Klang.

I have been here a few times before.

But that was the first time I decided to climb up its tower to see the views from up there.

Climbing to the summit of the highest hill near Kampung Sungai Buaya

Continuing from To the power pylons on top a hill besides the Orang Asli settlement near Prima Beruntung.

Wednesday afternoon 27th August I headed for the highest hill within vicinity of Kampung Sungai Buaya.

I wanted to repeat a climb did over a month earlier.

I never shared the story on that climb. But I have pictures to show it was made Wednesday afternoon 16th July 2025.

This time I saw scenes from what seems to be a very recent forest fire.

Whatever, to get to the summit must get the pylon ahead first.

With its base at 150 metres above sea level it is the highest pylon within view from miles around.

Actually I have arrived at this pylon some time in 2023 or 2024 but from a different approach path.

Or was it earlier around the year 2021? I really can't remember nor found the pictures to confirm when.

Moving on towards the highest summit of the hill.

It is about 1,300 or 1,400 metres of gradual ascend from the pylon.

The summit from a vantage point.

At many parts I have to pass through thick fern growths.

This time I even got my hand cut and bleed a little.

In my last climb over a month ago I had to turn back before these parts as it was already 7pm. That should be at about 180 metres above sea level.

This time I managed to reach the summit 202 metres above sea level before 6.

Compared to the last climb I started more than an hour earlier and did not make the mistake of taking the wrong path before the highest pylon.

Peace be upon you. It's been 2 weeks since this blogspot was updated. Time to share some stories.

Tuesday afternoon 26th August 2025. After crossing from Kampung Sungai Buaya to Prima Beruntung using motorcycle via a hillside rubber estate I made an excursion towards these powerlines.

From a point below the slopes I continued on foot.

Me being me I just wanted to have a look around.

I continued to the highest hill there with pylons.

The views around...
