It is called Sungai (river of) Ibai and this part is close to the mouth where lies a famous 'floating' white mosque.

Note to myself : The section "Fascination with rivers" on the right sidebar of this blogspot currently lists 30 rivers in Peninsular Malaysia. Once this East Coast trip series is completed must add 3 more rivers - Sungai Golok, Sungai Pengkalan Datu and Sungai Ibai... or Sungai Marang instead of Sungai Ibai? Will consider later.
